About the Team

Our team members enjoy the relationships they develop with their patients. They go out of their way to make patients feel comfortable, asking questions and getting to know each individual that comes through our door. Our goal is to accommodate the unique needs of our patients and help them accomplish both their short- and long-term dental goals.

Sunny Thacker, DMD

Originally from Pikeville, Dr. Thacker earned a BS in biology from Pikeville College and was salutatorian of her class. She continued her education at University of Louisville, where she received her DMD and the Quintessence Award for Operative Dentistry. Her professional memberships include the ADA, KDA, and Bluegrass Dental Society.

When she isn't developing spectacular smiles, Dr. Thacker enjoys time with her husband and their two young children. She also finds time to paint, sew, and read great novels

Leisa Miracle
Office Manager

Over 25 years of experience in medical and dental office management make Leisa a true miracle in administration. In addition to making sure the office runs like a well-oiled machine, Leisa is in charge of marketing. She’s a great asset to our team and our patients, holding certification in radiology and CE’s from the Masters in Dentistry. If you have administrative questions, please give Leisa a call. She’ll be happy to help, and no question is too difficult because she loves a great challenge.

Leisa supports of her 11-year-old daughter’s goals and aspirations, and she centers her life on family. For relaxation, she enjoys walking, gardening, and computers.

Emily Pickett
Patient Care Coordinator

Emily performs our new patient exams, coordinates appointments, and helps present treatment plans. She will also be happy to explain your insurance benefits and file your paperwork. For 10 years, Emily has worked in dentistry, and she can perform radiography, Invisalign™, Zoom! Whitening™, NTI fabrication, and Dentrix™.

Away from work, Emily is a member of Turner Ridge Baptist Church and the committee for Pendleton Co Relay for Life. She enjoys playing softball, singing karaoke, and spending time with her daughter, friends, and family in front of a Cincinnati Bengals game.

Crystal Plunkett, Expanded Duties Dental Assistant

You’ll enjoy Crystal’s friendly treatment if you need X-rays, patient education, or whitening trays. She also makes temporary crowns and assists the doctors in dental procedures. For 11 years, Crystal has enjoyed being a part of dentistry and helping patients. She started her career working for her family’s dentist. Since then, she has earned certification in expanded duties as a dental assistant, X-ray, and coronal polishing, as well as a PAC Live Esthetics Continuum, Dental Boot Camp training, and Invisalign training.

At home, Crystal finds time to make blankets, do crafts, and decorate. She enjoys reading and going to the movies. Time with family and friends is important to her, too.

Contina Williams
Expanded Duty Dental Assistant

Contina administers patient X-rays, places restorations, and makes temporary crowns and whitening trays as our certified expanded duty dental assistant. She’s enjoyed helping dental patients for six years.

After hours, Contina likes to attend wine tasting events, grab a bite of sushi, or head home to watch a Dallas Cowboys football game.

Heather Hedges
RDH, Dental Hygiene Department Head

As head of our dental hygiene department, Heather coordinates re-care, schedules the hygienists, and manages our supply inventory. She graduated from Lexington Community College with an associate’s degree in applied science in 1995, and she has been a registered dental hygienist for 11 years. In addition, Heather is certified to administer local anesthetic and always has a gentle, caring hand.

On weekends and after hours, Heather donates her time as a deacon at Bridgeport Christian Church in Frankfurt and teaches children’s Sunday school classes. She also likes to play softball, go bowling, read a great book, cook up a gourmet meal, and camp beneath the stars.

Adrianne Warman
Dental Assistant

Adrianne hails from Georgetown, Kentucky, where she recently graduated from high school. She attends BCTC and is working toward her hygiene degree with plans to transfer to University of Kentucky to attend dental school. She has been an expanded duties dental assistant for nearly two years and has radiography and sensor placement certifications. She started with us as a co-op student and has great potential to become a fabulous dentist. 

Adrianne enjoys cleaning, cooking, and hanging out with friends after work. Studying and planning her future keep her buried in books in most of her spare time.

Adrianne likes all kinds of music, and she also loves to see a blockbuster hit on the silver screen occasionally. For fun, and like most women, she enjoys shopping, as well as cooking and organizing (she’s a neat freak).

Stephanie Patrick
Personnel Manager

A true multi tasker, Steph handles payroll, accounts payable and receivable, staff training for Dentrix, and travel arrangements. She pursues continuing education regularly and holds certification in radiology, expanded duties (from LVI), Dentrix training, high tech training, and paperless office technology and training. The hard work Steph puts in behind the scenes directly affects your experience in our office.

As a member of Southern Acres Christian Church, Steph says her family is her life. She enjoys photography, travel, walking, and the little changes that make life precious.

Vicki Denise Potter, RDH

If you visit us on a Saturday, you may meet Vicki, one of our friendly and talented weekend dental hygienists. As a clinical instructor at Ky-Votech, Vicki’s gentle hands and advanced skill will make your dental cleaning pleasant. In 2003, she won the Table Clinic Award for working with DIAGNOdent. She earned her BS in 2003 from WKU, and when she isn’t teaching or helping patients, Vicki enjoys shopping, reading, or traveling.

Arnetta Russell-Hayes, Clinical RDH

Arnetta also works Saturdays, allowing patients to schedule convenient hygiene appointments. She earned her RDH from the Ohio State University, and she also won their Professionalism Award in 1999. After hours, Arnetta likes to exercise by swimming or riding horses.

Raegan Adair Paige, Clinical RDH

After earning her associate degree in applied science from University of Kentucky-Lexington Community College, Raegan went on to earn her dental hygiene degree and achieved clinical honors in 2004. You’ll enjoy seeing her happy face at your Saturday cleanings. Away from work, Raegan likes to play with her daughter Alahna, attend church functions, and travel, swim, or shop.

Melissa Rigdon, Scheduling Coordinator

A native of Kentucky, Melissa attended Valencia Community College before becoming a pharmacy tech. As scheduling coordinator for the Thoroughbred team, she helps our patients with convenient visits or phased visits for extensive treatment plans. Melissa will be happy to help you with any scheduling concern or change.

Wedding plans keep Melissa busy on nights and weekends. She and her fiancé, Jeff Carter, will be married in April of 2008. Melissa has two dogs and enjoys quilting, cooking, and working on the farm. Outdoors, she likes to ride her ATV.

Jada M. Parker, Expanded Duty Dental Assistant

Jada has worked in dentistry for eight years, and she has been on our team for two years, providing gentle, comprehensive chairside patient care. She has many certifications, including radiation safety, coronal polishing, Invisalign, and expanded duties. The creative and artistic side of dentistry interest Jada very much, and she particularly enjoys working with full-mouth cosmetics and restorative composites.

After work, Jada likes to watch movies, shop, and spend time with her friends and family. She is a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. Her vacations always include traveling, a hobby she will continue for life. And here's a tip…if you want to bribe Jada, try chocolate.
